This is just a short drabble fic, to add to my word count

Inside The Dome

Day One

The apocolypise has passed and humanity is safe, contained inside a metal dome, in the Sahara desert. There are no windows for fear of terrifying the survivors of the catastrophes. And there is no way to exit the Dome. But they cannot leave. Ever. So every day is the same. It will always be this way, for every inhabitant of The Dome.

Day Two Thousand And Eleven

A baby girl is born, her name is Kelly. And she will become the future.

Day Seven Thousand And Fifty Six

Kelly glances around herself to see someone standing behind her. She spins around and this person is gone. But she can't help feeling that she is being watched.

Day Seven Thousand And Fifty Nine
Year 11,000 in the calendar of The Second Humanity

Outside, every day inside the Dome is actually one hundred years. The people inside do not know this of course. Nor do they know that they are being watched like zoo animals. Nor do they know that the acoplyipse didn't really happen. That they had been safe all along. That The Dome was just an experiment.

Day Seven Thousand And Sixty Nine
Year 12,000 in the calender of The Second Humanity

Kelly stares at the dome and then back down at a small hatch on the floor. She opens it, absentmindedly. And sees the outside world.
She sees the future.
